As money can generally be transferable to provider in minutes, so you can get your confirmation immediately. For using Western Union you can use all major credit or debit cards such as MasterCard, Visa or American Express.
Payment via PayPal is acceptable (3.5% transaction fee will add).
You should ensure that you have sufficient cash, in the form of US dollars or Euros to cover all expenses for the duration of your stay in Iran. Cirrus or Maestro ATMs cannot be accessed in Iran.
